Fee Schedule

2009-2010 Program Fee Schedule

     The Interactive History Company will make every effort to honor the fees posted on this website, however fee increases are sometimes unavoidable and therefore all fees are subject to change without notice. 

     All  program fees are determined by the number of IHC instructors scheduled at the presentation, combined with the number of programs or program rotations they are presenting.

Example 1: For a program involving one (1)  IHC Instructor presenting a single 45-minute Focus-on-History class for no more than 32 students, the fee would be: $200.00*

Example 2:  For a program involving three (3) IHC instructors each presenting 3 rotations of any 45-minute Focus-on-History class for no more than 32 students per rotation, the fee would be:  $900.00    Fee Breakdown:  $200 per IHC Instructor + $50.00 per each additional rotation -- multiplied by the two additional rotations each of the 3 Instructors are presenting)*

     In addition, any program presented outside Snohomish County, Washington will  include an additional travel fee.  (Please see details below).  Also, several IHC programs include art-supply fees, which are detailed in the program descriptions for each class or workshop.  (It is also possible to provide your own art supplies for specific classes.  Please feel free to ask about this option when making your program reservation)

     In order to reserve your date, IHC requests a 30% deposit on all scheduled programs.  Deposits are non-refundable.  If a presentation date must be canceled, IHC will make every effort to reschedule the program for no additional cost up to one (1) year from the previous program date. 

    For all non-profit educational organizations, such as schools, libraries, scouting organizations, etc,  The Interactive History Co. accords a special discount from our professional program fees. - These are detailed below.  The examples above are based on IHC's fees for non-profit educational organizations.

      Birthday Party/Scout Program Fees:  Base Fees for birthday parties and other large pre-packaged events, such as IHC's Scouting and Knighthood Program, can be found next to their respective program descriptions.   These fees do not include the required travel fee for programs outside Snohomish County, WA.

* Plus any applicable art-supply or travel fees, which are determined at the time the reservation is made.

  • Large GRoup/School Assembly Programs:
    professional performance:  $500.00/presentation + Travel etc.
    School Performance: $300.00/presentation + Travel, Etc.

    Interactive History Co. School Assemblies require a minimum 60 minutes presentation time and the fee is $300.00 for 1 IHC instructor and $150.00 for each additional instructor or presentation, plus any related arts supply fees, and travel expenses.  PLEASE NOTE:  All additional expenses, such as travel  fees are explained up front and will be included in your final invoice.

  • Focus-on-History Classes:
    Professional Program:  $300/IHC Instructor + Travel, ETC. 
    School Program:  $200.00 /IHC Instructor + travel, Etc.

    For all 45-60 minute FoH school programs the fee is:  $200.00 per IHC instructor for the initial presentation and just $50.00 for each additional rotation of the same program or for another subject requiring additional props.  Up to 5 presentations per IHC instructor are allowed in a single school day.  Most IHC programs will also incur an additional travel fee. (Please see the specific information on travel fees below)  Focus-on-History programs are specifically designed for single classroom groups of no more than 32 students.

  • Living History Workshops:
    Professional Program: $750.00/Instructor/Presentation + Travel Etc.
    School/Non-Profit Program: $600.00/instructor/presentation + Travel & Supply fees

    Fees for the intensive Living History Workshops presented for non-profit organizations are $600.00, per presentation plus any applicable art/supply fees and travel expenses.  No more than 2 Living History Workshops per IHC Instructor can be presented in a single school day.

    Living History in a Medieval Manor
    Living History as a Renaissance Apprentice
    Living History in the Continental Congress
    Life as a Colonial Apprentice

    Fees for the Hands-on History Market Faires are $500.00 per presentation for up to 65 students per IHC Instructor plus travel expensesMarket Faires require a minimum 90 minutes presentation time.  To accommodate additional students, the cost is just $150.00 per  instructor.

    The Marketplace Faire Programs are:

  • First Person Interactive Performances
    Professional Organization Performances: $500.00 + Travel FEes
    School/Non-Profit Performances:  $350.00 + Travel fees

    IHC offers first-person interactive performances for school assemblies and other groups, such as professional; charity or scouting organizations. Our In-persona presentations represent individuals in the context of their time period, who could have lived or did live during their respective eras, including:

    Galatea - A Good Woman of Greece
    Eleanor of Aquitaine
    Robyn Plaeyr - Shakespearean Actor
    Louisa Lewis – On the Homefront (Civil War)

    For non-profit organizations these presentations are $350.00 per performance  plus travel fees.  Travel Fees are explained below

  • Ben Franklin - Innovative American: School Assembly:  $800.00

    The Interactive History Co. is also a proud sponsor of the special Chautauqua-style Performances by our friend, Dr. Benjamin Franklin, as portrayed by G.Robin Smith.    Ben Franklin School assembly programs are $800.00 per program, with some grants available to off-set that cost.

  • Travel Fees:

    Western Washington:  $25.00 for travel outside Greater Everett, WA area plus 25 cents/mile

    Pacific Northwest: - Travel by Company Van: $1.00/mile for Roundtrip driving distance.  This is all-inclusive for room, board and travel and requires a minimum $600.00 IHC Program reservation and 2 IHC Instructors

    North America: Travel within North America, beyond the Pacific Northwest requires coverage of all roundtrip Air Travel expenses for all IHC Instructors and Shipping costs via for all IHC Props to and from the IHC offices; plus modest double occupancy hotel accommodations for each day of the presentation + 2 days for travel.  In addition, a minimum $600.00 IHC Program reservation is required.

    International - Outside of North America:  Interactive History Presentations are arranged on a case-by-case basis and require the full cooperation and disclosure with all local and/or National authorities with regard to any and all special work or performance-visas - and attendant expenses - that may be required

  • Art/Supply Fees

    Charges for supplies range from $5.00 - $30.00 per class presentation (Up to ~32 students/class) depending on the class supplies involved.  These costs will always be stated up-front and range from chain maille making rings and tools to special herbs for Colonial Medicine.  IHC endeavors to include these fees after the full class or program description for each specific class as listed on the About Our Programs page.
